The first legal step in any personal injury claim is to submit an application to the Injuries Board (previously known as The Personal Injuries Assessment Board). The Injuries Board are almost certain then to issue a certificate which will permit the issue of Court proceedings, assuming, of course, that you at that stage receive an admission of liability and an offer of compensation.
